Skippy Super Chunk

Anything is blasphemy.

Turkey necks. I didn’t even know this was an established part of any cuisine until I got here. Still don’t understand why.
Country Crock: it’s a major problem if we don’t get at least two large tubs. And they have to be large tubs. Butter, on the other hand, is hard to find on the boat.
Mint flakes: we have 32 containers of mint flakes. Who uses that shit, and in what?
Red snapper fillets: once had a guy who ordered 24 pounds of red snapper fillets, at about the cost of t-bones. While we were working in the Gulf. With fishing poles on the boat.

I’ve scratched turkey necks, chicken feet, pigs ears, and n/a beer off of quite a few grocery lists.

I use mint flakes. . . .

To season lamb, for the most part. I use lamb when I make meat loaf, and sometimes mixed with beef for burgers. I recommend a meatloaf made with half lamb and half ground pork . . . .

Sounds good. Yeah, I was thinking lamb, but that’s not something that is ever on the grocery order.

Too bad. We eat too little lamb in this country. . .

And I had never heard of potted meats, either. It is scary just reading the ingredients.

Potted Meat and Vienna Sausage in a can. . . . Southern delicacies . . .

That is called Easy Cheese and the only proper way to eat it is by shooting it directly into one’s mouth.

Yup. Same here. Never again unless there’s a lot of liquor involved and a healthy payoff to do it.

In my case, it was at work and no liquor involved unfortunately

shudders yeah, I was waiting for my ship to get to port in Singapore and my Filipino chief steward dared me. Fortunately there was plenty of Tiger beer involved too.

I’ll bet the beer helped (except for the possible gassy aftermath-!)

Oh sweet baby Jesus, you had to remind me of that part.
