Damen has launched the MV WES ESTHER for REEDEREI wessels at Damen in yichang/China and will deliver her as soon as possible to start trading in European waters. Congratulations with this milestone!
During the past 3 month we have delivered the MV BOTHNIA FIN and MV BALTIC FIN for BLUE FIN Shipping GmbH & Co. KG, the MV JAN LAURENSZ for Held Shipping/UNIATLANTICO and the MV SVEN and MV FRIEDHEIM for HS Schiffahrt, all in time and to full expectations of our customers. As Damen we are set on delivering all coming vessels within shortest time possible to bring these vessels with reduced emissions into the market…

Both companies have regular services to/from the Continent/UK and along the Norwegian coast from Stavanger to Kirkenes. (Earlier also to Murmansk)

Norwegian short sea/coaster fleet are in need of renewal, but which fuel to choose for the future fleet? Here is one suggestion:


The coastal freight fleet is struggling with old and worn-out vessels. (Sounds familiar?)
This ammonia ship could be one of the solutions for renewing the fleet.

The ship to be built in China, but a substantial proportion of the investment and deliveries for this vessel, including design and building supervision, will be from Norwegian and European suppliers.
