Oh man, you have got me so WRONG Fraq. I believe in helping those who need and deserve help but not the fat fucking handout slugs who claim destitution but can still buy cigarettes and beer. I am sorry to say that it was in Houma but the worse sight of poverty I ever saw was a morbidly obese woman in a power chair in the parking lot of the Walmart on Grand Callou Road. Behind here was an oxygen bottle and canula in her nose. In here mouth was a smoke, in her basket was soda and chips. The only thing that would have made it worse would have been a kid or two in tow. I am certain the slug was on welfare, disability, food stamps, medicaid and likely a dozen other programs which were put into place to help her but which did not one thing to stop her self destructive behavior.
People on the dole must be given a needs test and once enrolled made to meet benchmarks that they are making their lives better and becoming less dependent on the government to support them. You seem to think I am all for free beer and skittles for everyone forever…let me categorically say here that I AM NOT! The welfare state is as corrupt and rotten as virtually all other government programs. The waste and fraud in it is rampant! The US is filled to capacity with fat, lazy, stoopid and indolent slugs who believe the government is there to fund their lifestyles of self destruction…IT IS NOT!

If we continue on this path, our country is sure to fail just as every other country that has gone that path has done. Another truth is that being jealous and pissed at those whom have become a financial success either from their own hard work or the hard work of those who came before them will not fix anything. I absolutely assure you that if you could make a billion dollars from the ORCA you would and certainly wouldn’t be paying your crews any more than the companies here in the GoM are paying now. It is simple supply and demand. As long as there are positions that are hard to fill, the pay will increase. As soon as the ends, son will the ride. Just as it always has been. It’s our job to realize that and save for the down times.

I was thinking about this the other day…
When do we work out the change from paying taxes and government works for us then suddenly we work out we only exist to work for the government?
Since WWII we have fallen into this trap, well not me actually as I left.
