You must mean Senior DPO? There is no such animal as a DP Supervisor officer that I know of?
A senior DPO is purely a company driven position and otherwise there are no licenses or special credentials required. It is just experience and ability to be the “person in charge” in all respects of the bridge while a vessel is on DP. With that added competence, he has the ability to supervise the performance of lesser experienced DPOs who might be on the bridge with him/her.
