Deadly Catch

I know some of it is scripted so maybe I’m the fool. But the pure shit I see these people do on TV would have me rolling on the deck in laughter if I didn’t expect them to kill some young kid in the pursuit of ratings.

So my question is: how real is the stuff they do and, if real, how can our enforcement agencies let these people flaunt it on national tv?

My problem isn’t that shit happens up north and all over the seas. Shortcuts and other extra-legal activities happen everywhere. My problem is that it’s done in full view, on DVD and TiVo.

That show makes me almost as angry as the whale pirate show except in that show I want to see the pirates maimed, killed and sunk.

Is that question a Fuc__ng joke ???

I just saw an episode of Orange County Chopper where they go to Alaska and take a ride on the TIme Bandit. While they are on there they show a crew member throw a plastic bottle of charcoal lighter fluid over the side with Fire Crackers taped to it. I’m not sure which is more stupid, throwing lighter fluid and plastic into the ocean, or being filmed doing it.

if you turn them into the coast guard for dumping plastic into the water don’t you get half of the fine???

That’s what I thought, earlier in my career. It’s all relative.

Last night the same crew shut off the AIS, turned off all their lights and steamed around darkened out so they could play a practicable joke on another boat.

Maybe not…

That was pretty funny though

I’m currently fishing in the northern bearing sea and boats turn off there AIS systems all the time. It’s only required by law to be on in shipping lanes. Well that’s what I’m told I’ve never actually looked it up. But o can tell you it happens all the time. We also throw seal bombs on deck for fun all the time as well. Welcome to the jungle baby!!

Do you shut off all your navigation lights all the time too. I think they are supposed to be on at night, at least that is what I have been told, Jungles have trees, you have ice cubes.

Nope the nav lights stay on. Deck lights also.
