Dangerous times for pleasureboaters just out of Singapore

Its getting dangerous being an amateur messing about in boats around here, the professionals are crashing into each other all the time these days…

There is a lot of traffic in the vicinity of Singapore. The current VTS hurts as much as they help. They should require pilots for the tankers, or at least on the big ones.

Way too many ships to supply pilots
The vts does a good job of warning ships on collision course but they just seem to ignore them
Some of the accidents are laughable on the mistakes made
Hard to believe there was anyone on the bridge?
