Covid-19 News/Updates

Lots of confusing information out there. I might be doing it wrong but I have been using a 3m P-95 mask I typically use for painting. Good full nose and mouth seal and if the cartridges take out organic vapors of paint and thinners I hope this is sufficient for cv. My only concern is I plan on using this for a crew change flight and can be tiring when worn for hours at a time. Any input on using paint respirators?

Overkill.

The whole situation has been fucked from the start. Not long ago the adults like Birx and Fauci were saying don’t wear masks: you’ll touch your face more or engage in risky activity. Those same folks said it wasn’t contagious. Oops it is contagious. Now wear masks. Don’t this. No, wait, do that. And I’m not talking about the folks recommending malaria medication and bleach.

It’s no wonder America is the world’s Petri dish. I’m not surprised so many folks think facts are opinions.

That’s what happens when there is no coherent national leadership. A vocal minority seems more interested on where Covid-19 came from than how to keep from dying from it . There is another minority that believes that not following precautions makes them free which is just plain idiotic unless one is both homicidal and suicidal. When the choice is the “economy” over people it shows a certain ignorance or selfishness. Without people able to move about without a reasonable hope of not being infected there is no economy. The Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Denmark, Finland, Ireland and other countries with a unified national leadership have much lower infection rates than the USA which is being run like a banana republic by the congress and executive branches . All these other countries have an “economy” too.

The best way to get the protesters to wear a mask is to make masks with “MAGA” printed on the front. They’ll wear them 24/7.

Whatever it takes, do it. My beloved Dare County is about to be invaded from all points North and South. Virus numbers are rather low right now,as are hospital beds. As a NRPO, staying away from the madness. Stay tuned folks, this won’t be pretty. “Come visit us, but bring your own toilet paper”. Ain’t that special for vacation instructions?

Dr. Robert Redfield,

A tall man, with a tan, freckled head, and a snow-white chinstrap beard, Redfield stepped to the podium. “The risk at this time is low,” Redfield told the country. “The American public needs to go on with their normal lives.” - February 28th.

the world only has a future with less people.
as cynical as I am…
Killing the old ones off first has the best economic result of any other choice.

(No disrespect to those that have lost friends and relatives)

Overkill. Well that’s how I roll. Wife and I just broke the stay at home orders on the 3rd by going from our home in Florida to our home in Maine. We have a full size truck with shell so I converted the last 3ft of the bed to home made bathroom facilities. Just as pleasant and exciting to use as it sounds but in the 32 hours it took to get home the only thing we touched that wasn’t ours was 5 slimy diesel nozzles (with gloves of course). If covid can survive the diesel nozzle were screwed. We never entered a building or got into contact with anybody until upstate New York. New York, Mass and Maine are still using live tolltakers. Florida went to toll by plate a long time ago. I dropped them the money and they all caught it, must be used to that now. Anyways the best way to make this tolerable is to kind of turn it into a big game of how to avoid people. Keeping an eye on the news so we know what was good to do is now bad and how things are getting better and worse at the same time. As far as the whole social distancing goes there was a large segment of the population that never made an effort so as to whether it would work or not we will never know!

Feel free to lead by example…

My second chuckle of the day, that’s a good one. Even the mutt laughed. She is not easily entertained, but I shared.

Nature has a way of dealing with morons. With the help of some of its residents, the White House appears to be one of the latest to get Mother Nature’s attention.

Amazing how you guys find this shit. I am so behind the curve.

Nothing new under the sun as we say here, more or less old news as this article dated 2 November 2018 shows.

Already in November 2018 Llamas have been used to produce a new antibody therapy that has the potential to work against all types of flu, including new pandemics. As far as I can check it the Belgian lab didnot mention this!

As could be expected people have been reported to drink llama blood as a prophylactic against the Coronavirus. I hope Trump doesn’t get wind of this or otherwise it might end bad for the llama population.

See post # 507 of this thread.

Oops. Missed that. So my news was also old news…:slightly_frowning_face: We shared our suspicion about Trump.

Poor LLamas, this may not end well.

ÂĄCuidado llamas!
