They don’t owe you a dime. I’m not convinced you were passed over for promotion based on discrimination of a protected class. It sounds like other candidates had higher credentials then you. If you’re so shook up about chouest and how they wouldn’t promote you to AE then you could’ve went and gotten and AE job at MEBA. I know a number of women who sail through MEBA, and they’re pretty happy with their paychecks.
Edit: Or an even better idea, go message MaritimeLegalAid on Instagram. He will happily take up your cause. I’m not saying you never faced these issues, but let’s put the facts out there and actually pursue them instead of coming on here every few months and getting any thread you participate in locked.

I was the only woman there and the guys on board made passes on me constantly. I don’t know what you would know about that. Ron Winters, Derik Pitre, I still even remember their names. The c/ Bradley wise was happily married but he was blatantly discriminatory toward women in the workplace.
It was discrimination plain and simple. The guy they promoted wasn’t better than me in any way he was just a typical white privileged guy from KP and we have already established that no one has heard of a KP graduate from Puerto Rico. He didn’t have diesel electric training and he had no clue period. And before you want to call me racist encase you didn’t know Puerto Ricans are a mix of Spanish, African and Taino, I’m mixed 100% but I could never be white privileged like the KP guys that look like straight up nazi descendants.
The people in the office at Chouest are either stupid dumb or just plain shady. It would be very sad if it were both.
This industry only defends white women who went to kings point.
I hate that I had show Chouest’s dirty political dealings all over the internet. I am not a fan of politicians or politics. I really just like to live simply but a huge company tried to use politics against me, a single individual and so here we are. They forced me to be involved in their stupid world.
