Just wondering. I have mine.
Dammit, somebody fix the poll. I typed Pernit instead of Permit. Damm brown party liquor!

Reb…you know I love your Confederate soul but do we want to turn this into a gun forum? There are a couple hundred of those for these kind of threads
.
As a Marylander, I’ve pretty much given up hope that we’ll ever have legal carry except for cops, people protecting tax revenue, and people with connections. Unless the Supreme Court does something, our Jim Crow gun laws are probably going to outlast the state. I used to be a pretty energetic activist with Maryland Shall Issue, but I gave that up when I realized that I was taking more continually demeaning bullshit from my “allies” for being a liberal than I was taking from the anti-gun folks for supporting the right to “tote death spewers around our children.” Oh, well.

Ah, let it go C.Capt. This is the Scuttlebutt section. The place will get stale if all we ever talk about is Joe Boss, looking for jobs and maritime mishaps.

Does Joe Boss have a carry permit?

I agree that it is nice to mix it up with talking about all kinds of stuff like old trucks or football but I just noticed that Reb was getting on a kick with the gun posts is all. Thought I would remind him that this is a maritime forum first.
anyway, personally I would love to talk about anything Browning or Springfield myself.
Everyone should have one!
…wait for it…
NOYB!
Fuckin-a right I have one. My Glock-23 is my choice more often than not.
My wife and I both have carry permits. She likes her Barretta Nano and I’m partial to my Taurus 38. No holster I just stick it in my back pocket on the way out the door. Someone asks for my wallet they gonna get more than they wanted.
I have had mine for quite a while. I either carry a Walther PPK 380 or a Phoenix 22 LR Pocket Pistol.

Yes your right but I’ve noticed ALOT of sailors like toyz! Just about everyone on my ship enjoys firearms. I figured yall do too! I was right by the looks of it, and from the poll alot of us have CCW’s!
[QUOTE=captjamied;155478]…wait for it…

That’s why the poll above DOES NOT show who has and who don’t!
Current ccw for the wife and I are Ruger LCRs in .38+P. Crimson trace laser grips for her, Alabama pocket holster for both.
Over the years I’ve used several. When I first started I carried a Thompson .45, Glock 17. etc Too bulky.Great weapons just no very SD practical. Then many others based on "movies’ what the cops we’re using etc. Switched to a Bersa thunder 380 about 10 years ago. Solid reliable weapon. I would reccomend it to anyone. Now carrying (don’t laugh) Charter Arms Undercover in .38 spc.(another fine weapon believe it or not) I know only 5 shots blah, blah, blah. I’m not assualting the beaches at Normandy, just going to the store…I also have a North Amercian Arms mini in 22 mag. I’ve found that the easier to carry the more I carry it.
I think it ill advised to carry .22 for SD. Just not enough stopping power.
This is my choice - S&W Snub in .38 Special. Low tech, slips easily in pocket, 100% reliable.
I swap between my Ruger LCP and Springfield XDS in .45, depending on pocket size of the pants I have on. That XDS is actually a great gun, easy to shoot, even given its small size for the caliber
P229 in .40
10-4 used to carry a Taurus 38 special just switched to a FNS 9mm, you can open carry in Washington state too.

If you ask an E.R. Doctor, more people are killed with 22’s because the bullet travels around inside causing a lot of damage.
