Good evening, I heard some scuttlebutt the other day after talking to a buddy about renewing my MMC. Is it possible to do Revalidation online? Thanks in advance.

Some schools offer online classes but you will still need to go to the fire field for one day.
If a school says you don’t you might reconsider going there. A school was recently caught not doing live fire and students have to re-take the course.

I just did mine through Northeast Maritime in MA. (https://northeastmaritimeonline.com/) I had to renew all my STCW and was able to do all the “classroom” parts online with only 3 days of in-person. The school gets some grief here on gCapt., but my experience was nothing but good.
