Another Radar Renewal Question

I renewed my license in June with a few months left on my last radar renewal course certificate, and I fon’t have a year of relevant seatime in the last 5 years. I DID receive my Radar Observer (unlimited) endorsement. Here is the question:

The 5 years on the cert are now set to expire. It appears as though the endorsement is good until the MMC expires. Have I missed something? Do I need to do another course now?

There is no longer a rolling clock on radar expiration. If you renewed after July, 2019, and it was added to your MMC, you are good until your next MMC renewal.

When you do a sea letter. Make sure the office puts on there that the vessels are equipped with radar / ARPA radars. That proves that you use radars and you don’t need a radar refresher.
