Scottish magazine [I]Urban Realm[/I] voted Aberdeen as the most dismal Scottish town in their annual Carbuncle Awards.
I honestly didn’t think it was that bad when I visited last summer. Their Marischal College located near the center of town is quite beautiful.
I’ve certainly seen worse in the U.S., that’s for sure.
I suppose things have degraded a fair bit since last summer when oil prices were still super high and people weren’t getting laid off…
the Scots are a dour people who live in a gloomy land…I imagine much of the country is painted drab gray.
then there are the pubs!
