Hi I’m studying for my 500ton mates NC exams and finding it to be a lot of information to digest I was wondering if anyone knew if i could split up the exams I take, for example take RR, Deck gen and deck safety then come back at a later date and complete the rest of the exams. thanks in advance
Once you start taking exams, you have to take them on consecutive days, two a day. See paragraph 8 on page 7 of the NMC Exam Guide. The only way to come back and take other modules is to fail them on your first try. The last bit is not facetious. It’s a common strategy to prioritize studying for certain modules with the intent to re-take the lower priority ones if you fail them. Just don’t fail 3 or more modules, then you need to take the entire exam again.
