What kind of dirty right wing propaganda is that.?

America was not at war with Vietnam. It was on a peaceful mission spreading democracy , free speech, dei, prosperity, and free trade. Where do You get this crap from Dr. Bugge.

It is madness to say sth like that and spread lies and disinfirmation.

Shame on You Dr Bugge.

Successful mission, stopped the expansion of communism in SE Asia, all country’s happy about that except the commie ones.
Showed China’s hand they all always happy to support prolonging wars to suit their agenda. Malaysia’s emergency a few years earlier for example.

Saying that there is rising tension between north and south again now.
Hard working south earning money going to corrupt north.

Except for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

I can probably produce the names of 20k-30k long ago dead Americans & their mourning families who weren’t happy about the Vietnam War. If you add in the draftees who came back crippled or with PTSD who ended or ruined their lives in the bottom of a bottle or at the end of a needle you can can multiply that number by 5. Communism regulates how a society pays taxes, provides public services & controls commerce. I don’t give a flying banana on how the people of Vietnam or South East Asia do any of those things. Not worth my or any of my family members lives. And 1 generation later we have proud communists in Congress & accused communists in the White House. The Vietnam War was pointless to everyone except the Military Industrial Complex & the uber elite who wanted to ruin a generation of poor people imo.

I was meaning the local ones, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, ( Malaya) Thailand, Philippines etc all happy the commies stopped hence they all helped to support the UN peace plan where the north with Russian and Chinese help invaded the south.
Just like Korea.
Commies have been troublemakers for 100 years.
Successful too in places like Cuba…lol

South Vietnam not happy today as they can see how incompetent and corrupt the north is.

What goes around, comes around. 1984 has been delayed but it has a foot firmly planted in the American door.

Washington has become a fusion of Pongyang and Moscow, and Israel has become the 4th Reich. I don’t think this is what the “Greatest Generation” fought to defend.

Your understanding of recent S.E.Asian history is sorely lacking:

The Emergency in the Malay Federation was from 1948 - 1960.
Malaysia didn’t exist until 1963,

Source: Federation of Malaysia.

PS> Singapore was thrown out of the Federation of Malaysia and became a reluctant independent nation 9th Aug.1965.

I’m sure you have some (past or present) BS to contribute.
You appears to be full of it.

you mean the whole point of your post was I used the term Malaysia instead of Malaya
Same people same place same commies
Next you will be posting about spelling and punctuation.

Your such a dip sh1t as most here agree

Working hard to end another thread as usual.

Today Reunification Day is celebrated all over Vietnam.
Here is a BBC News report from the celebration in Saigon:

The Malaya Emergency did not involve the US and during the fighting British and Commonwealth troops refined the concept of hearts and minds and jungle warfare honed against successfully against the Japanese in Burma and the insurgency was crushed.
Most of the insurgents were of Chinese ethnicity and politically aligned to communism. Shortly after Indonesia felt that it should absorb Borneo and Singapore and there was a bit bit of posturing with up to 60,000 British and Commonwealth troops and 80 warships in Singapore.
In a few encounters with 42 commando and others in jungle of Borneo and some minor naval exchanges the Indonesians lost their enthusiasm.

Ah yes, the Konfrontasi, (1963 -66):

I missed most of that, since I was not in the area from 1962-67.
I got to feel some of the aftermaths in the years from 1967-70, before Suharto managed to stabilize Indonesia under his dictatorship.

Sukarno didn’t like the newly established Malaysia (including part of Borneo and Singapore).
He had the idea of recreating the “Greater Indonesia” (Indonesia Raya), which covered all the Malay area, stretching from the Andamans to Papua New Guinea and includes East Timor, parts of the Philippines, the Malay Peninsula and Singapore:
