Winter Workwear

It’s almost that time of year. The temps are starting to drop, unless you’re in the gulf.

I’m looking for suggestions for winter clothing that’s good for working on the water.

Extra tuff boots or sometime and Wellington style steel toe boots / some solid rain gear grudens and some good overalls

Something warm.

First watch float coat, flannel Lined work pants

Are ExtraTuf boots still worth buying since production moved overseas?

not sure ive only have had the USA made ones, but I would think so, might even be more comfortable after long hours

I guess quality has improved over the last couple of years. The initial China ones were terrible.

Extra tiffs are the most overrated boots on the mRket. If you want good boots get logging boots or fireman boots. Personally, I like Boggs and Muck boots for the comfort even though they do not last all that long. Then again, it’s no problem if they get left behind.

I tried those steel toed Bogs, they were huge and they must have weighed about 6 pounds.

And I walk with a port side list when I don’t wear my Xtratuffs…

An inside job where it is warm.

I normally do not wear steel toe boots. If you want protective steel toe boots, you cannot beat the logging boots. They last much longer than those floppy Extra Tuffs too.

Red Wing makes some excellent boots.
