Which East coast REC has the fastes processing time?
Have you spoken to your evaluator or just the call screener? I would ask for a senior or supervisory evaluator, whatever term they use.

I would make a statement like “your letter states I need to use the form, but the form states that I cannot use it”, or something to that effect. Hightlight that they are conflicting themselves and you need them to clear it up to proceed instead of just general statements asking for help. Just a thought.
Yeah, I agree you need to talk with the evaluator. The screener can answer general questions but not case specific. I had to call a few times on my last upgrade. My evaluator actually ended up giving me her email address because the communication process was too long and frustrating going through the call center.

I’ve called and just get the voice mail of the evaluator. I leave a message and my phone number and get nothing back. I would email the iasknmc address if I thought it would get the the evaluator, but I don’t think it will.

All the e-mail has to go through the IASKNMC address and it is supposed to be forwarded to your evaluator from there. There is a timeframe that they are given to respond to your e-mail or voicemail. I believe it is 48 hours, although, I can say from recent experience that that does not seem to be enforced.

Thanks for that. I’ll give that a shot and see where it goes from there

I assume it is the call screener that forwards you to the evaluator? Ask that call screener to forward you to the evaluators supervisor because you are getting no response from the evaluator. E-mail is good too because it creates the paper trail.

Definitely be nice to the folks on the phone when you call. When they say “this call may be recorded,” they really mean it WILL be recorded.

Like previously posted, the RECS have limited control over the process due to everytihng being sent to the NMC in WV. But I sent my upgrade packet into Baltimore for Review and it was accepted reviewed and forwarded within 24 hrs.

Baltimore REC: 24 hour turnover time.
