I think someone told me that being a roustabout is the easiest or “starter” job to start with in the oil industry? Is it derrickman or toolpusher? There’s all kinds of job titles on the rigzone website. I don’t even know what kind of work they perform exactly. They all have position names I’ve never heard of. Now regarding a toolpusher, what is it exactly that you would be doing? Pushing tools?
dear fucking Christ…What an obtuse little man you are! Did you learn nothing with your first post the other day about asking stoopid questions without doing a lick of re"search" first?
A Goddamned Toolpusher is a senior driller on a rig just down from the Rig Manager/OIM, The equivalent to a chief mate or first engineer but you don’t know what those are either…do you?
NOW I COMMAND THAT YOU READ THESE PRIOR THREADS HERE BEFORE RETURNING!
btw, the easiest job to get is the same as everywhere else in the world…cleaner of the toilets!

I believe that you must hold a COT (cleaner of Toilet) Unlimited to work on a drill rig.
everyone’s a comedian…
was looking on the EweToobs for someone doing the manual of arms with a toilet brush but so far no one has graced us with that gem!
Easiest job to get is DPO trainee…
Captain on a NOBLE unit in Alaska! Definitely the easiest to get!

It certainly doesn’t require much knowledge or ability to attain. Of course, the corollary is also true, too much knowledge and ability is a detriment!
Can’t be too easy…they passed on C.captain.
Can’t be too easy…they passed on C.captain.
I’ll just say my friend that some drilling companies violate laws regularly and don’t care for people who see that they do and speak out about it…
now isn’t it ironic when the NOBLE DISCOVERER ends up being BUSTED in Seward, AK by the USCG for the exact same violations that existed on the NB1. I hope DoJ prosecutes the BASTARDS there to the fullest extent of the law and fines Noble Drilling millions. Not only are they a bunch of scumbags in how they operate and make corporate decisions but they also don’t believe that the US Code applies to them. Nor do they believe there is any need whatsoever that they comply with the mandates of the ISM Code. In a very dirty industry, they are the filthiest and the stench of their perpetual corrupt rancid odor precedes them by many miles!
That was too easy Cap. I couldn’t pass on it. Almost let it slide, but then I asked myself the age old question one always should right before being an ass…“what would C.captain do?” Before I even realized, I was pushing the send button.
Good day to you sir!
You FORGOT TO capitalize WORDS for ADDED DRAMATIC EFFECT.
relating this post to his other one, i think someone is playing a trick on this site…and i will NOT take the bait this time.
