I’m looking to possibly add Able Seaman Deck to a pre-STCW Third Mate Unlimited that, along with my radar endorsement, I’ve always kept active. Reading through everything it’s not a huge lift. The biggest pain point looks like burning vacation time to do in person assessments.
I don’t love CBT but have done enough of it that I’m sure I can get through it. Does anyone know of school that does the hybrid concept of class on line, assessments in person, but on weekends? Preferably somewhere in the northeast but even jumping a quick flight south might be better than using time off.
