14 years later I stumble on this post. I have many happy memories of Danny’s. They used to show movies there by film and projector. I saw “Lady Sings the Blues” for one. Strangely, I can’t remember others. I was also there for a Teamster strike and got to spend about 2 weeks there waiting to get our barge loaded. I wound up dating the barmaid’s niece. Oh, and I met and married my flight attendant wife there. I guess cmakin and I were shipmates.
