As I noted, there were veteran preference applicants not only do they get 5 or 10 points added to their score, we simply cannot hire anyone scoring less than a preference applicant.

This is the main point to take away for anyone on the outside trying to apply for a .fed job. You almost always will be beaten by a veteran for the job. It’s the law.
