Good afternoon, I’m new to Gcaptain.On my recent tour a shipmate encouraged me to visit the site. I was also told by the same shipmate that the USCG has changed its requirements(assessments) for the C/M exam? Can anyone direct me to a post/discussion on this? I was told it has been on Gcaptain…Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Basically, the change has been in regard to the assessments minus all of the CM/Master schools that were once required, and no longer. Assessments alone, done on board, is enough for STCW endorsement - regulations still the same as far as qualifications.
