Greetings gCaptain. My name is Samuel Mathis. I am a Navy veteran of four years Active Duty. I got out of the Navy in December 2014 and attended the Mid Atlantic Maritime Academy. There I got qualified as an AB Seaman. Since receiving my Credential it has been difficult for me to find a job. It has gotten to the point where I have no choice but to go back into the Navy Active Duty in order to provide for my family, which is the very last thing I want to do. I spent my final year in the military looking forward to beginning my career as a Merchant Mariner and now everything that I worked for to make it happen is all about to be for nothing.
