I don’t know how you can say that when both parties claim that if the other side wins, they will destroy the country.
I think what’s needed is for people to stop hating those who don’t agree with them and instead agree to compromise. If the addition of a third party can accomplish that, I’m all for it.
When both are saying the same thing they are on the same side.
I agree with your second statement. But they are not compromising in the things that are beneficial to peace in the country or outside of the country. They compromise in other things behind closed doors.
Health Care for the population being a carrot they dangle in public, for example.
In what universe do two opposing factions claiming the other is evil and needs to be destroyed considered to be on the same side?
I was under the impression the conservatives are opposed to universal healthcare and the liberals in favor but you’re saying they agree behind closed doors?
You’ll have to ask the OP’s author. My posts were in response to Anonymous and his expectations that politically based violence in the US would end after the upcoming elections.
if there’s anyone ever understanding China, please tell me how do you do that. https://pharmacomlabs.to/ The planet is like: China and the rest of the world. their political views, food, lifestyle, stuff etc. etc. everything is different from the rest of the world. my personal opinion
First you go to China and spend some time travelling around, talking to ordinary Chinese. Main point is to have an open mind and not bring with you the ballast of ideas and prejudices that you have been fed since childhood.
More important, don’t think that you are somehow superior to the people there, or at least don’t show it.
Of course they have different views on a lot of things, not only politics. They eat different food from what you are used to, but there are lots of American fast food joint, if you should crave that. (Personally I eat local food wherever I travel and work)
As for lifestyle it is not that different from the rest of the world. Yes you can find places that is still living a traditional lifestyle, but with TV and Smartphones etc.
In the cities it is not much different from the rest of the world.
China has changed drastically since 1960s (when I was there for the first time.
The big change was the opening up in 1979. Not all to the better, since the greed and inequality returned with it.
Deng Zhouping’s slogans; “Being rich is Glorious” and “The colour of the cat doesn’t matter, as long as it catches mice” may have been taken too literally.
Today there are more Billionaires and Millionairs in China than in the US and the inequality between classes are nearly as bad as in the US.
PS> You have to wait until the pandemic is gone to go there.
They both claim they want Health Care in some fashion but since they never agree, never will, you will never have it. If they were different they would have reached a solution. They just play Good Cop/Bad Cop.
As for understanding China, China is the main manufacturer of health care products in the world. They supply the medicines sold in the US, I think…?
This is one of the sources I’ve read about this. It was in the news more a few months ago but I don’t think there’s been much change since. The US is not in a unique position. Many countries are in the same situation.
I don’t think you need “billions of ventilators”, but face masks yes.(As well as other PPE)
What about the base materials for medicine? Has domestic supply improved?
I was chatting to a guy in the drug industry the other day, he said China now has a monopoly on the basic ingredients but most countries happy to get rid of that industry as its very dirty and has a very low value add.
