A new 360 Tug Simulator installed at The Maritime Skills Academy in Portsmouth to train tug operators in the operation of a wide variety of tug in all kinds of conditions and scenarios that they may encounter in the real world :
I know; “we didn’t need any of that sh*t and we still managed to learn how to do things” Yes that is true, but to experience all the “worst case” scenarios and learn how to overcome all kinds of incidents took a lifetime and a lot of mistakes to get to become really good at it. (Some never did)
With this new simulators all that can be experienced in a few days/week.
Nobody gets hurt or gets kill if you do something stupid on a simulator.
Only your pride gets hurts.
