Training classes for engineers

I want to take some training classes on diesel engines. Specifically the Cat 3516 series. The company I work for will send employees to training upon request but I have to know what to ask them for since there is no training program in place.

I have heard that companies like Chouest have their own training schools. I want to try and get some training similar to what these companies offer so that I have better knowledge of the machines I work with. Where can training like this be found? What classes would offer the best experience?

I would contact Caterpillar and ask if they offer it at one of their Repair Houses.

PON Caterpillar in Oslo has multiple offerings for CAT 3500 series training for CUSTOMERS. Many places reserve CAT training for dealer employees.

Im also looking for a 3500 class, Ring power Cat in Florida supposedly has a program, but I believe the guys at HOS or ECO may know the place to go.

Louisiana Machinery has 3500 classes. Did a 3 day with them. Was a good class with practical fault finding on the last day.

I believe they are the #1 Cat supplier, with NC Machinery on the west coast being #2.

Thanks for the information!

Ring Power offer customized 3500 classes as well as standard 3 and 5 day courses for engineers.
