Tonnage rating system for Inland unlimited vessels

I just recieved my Inland Master AGT limited to 2000GRT. I had assumed it would be 2000GRT/4000GT like my 2nd mate endorsement.
Every online tonnage rating I see for Inland boats over 1600GRT is rated in Gross Tons and not Gross Registered Tons like my license. Are Inland vessels over 1600GRT rated in GRT or GT? Can my license cover vessels rated in Gross Tons?

It’s hard to get straight answers to these questions.

Apparently, the USCG only uses GRT on National licenses, like Master Inland , and only uses GT on STCW endorsements.

Second Mate, Oceans with OICNW has both a national license and an STCW endorsement so the USCG uses both GRT and GT for it

You guys are so lucky to have two tonnages and so many different grades of licences to keep track of. Must keep your minds sharp and alert at all times.

Pity all those folks around the world that only need to know GT and STCW grades. That must be mind numbing.
