This is an internet job scam!

I tried a/m adress on jwSpamSpy,
but it shows no alarm. Its not on the spam list.

It could be OK.

Any more information Campbell & McConnachie? I received the same e-mail and it sound too good to be true, yet I am having a difficult time finding any scam information on them. I have stumbled across where parts of the company was acquisitions recently. While inspecting their website http://campandmccon.org/ I noticed that their “Press Releases” were only blurbs with no additional links to back them up or read the full story. There are no phone numbers (that I have found, and even if I did being that they are in the UK it would be difficult for me to call). It is possible that the company is trying to expand to the US, however it does seem a bit unlikely that a “nobody” financial company would do so. I’d appreciate any updates we could get on this company, and as I find out more information I’ll return here and post. Was I the only one that found it odd how many times “No money needed” was posted?

Chaos,
According to what you say, note this:

1)If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Especially in time of deep economic chrisis.

  1. Try any kind of back ground check on them, make some correspondence - but when they ask some money - dont send them. Also be very-very careful about your personal info, bank details, cards or anything like that.

  2. make a yahoo adress, and then contact them, ask for phone, etc…

I’m not a mariner, but this thread was enough to perk my interest when I, too, received the same e-mail. Oddly enough, I’m qualified for all of these positions, so I didn’t initially probe to see if it was a scam. However, one of their links 404’d on me, revealing it’s actually being hosted by:
http://campandmccon.org/Application.Form.docc
Yahoo!
They use their domains to reference back to the site they set up, which is why the guy a few posts up found two sites with the same info. Pretty clever, right?
