Being new and green, I think you would have to worry more about bleach from cleaning, burning yourself on the galley stove, or god forbit a papercut from opening a cookbook. I love how people make make this shit out to be 100x worse than it really is. Yes there is stuff that can hurt you, but you would have to basically bath in it first. We take a benzene test yearly, ive heard of 2 guys out of 500 plus fail, one was a chronic smoker, and the other one must have been drinking the stuff.

Trolling on a Saturday…two weeks to football season it will be settled then.

Sick from benzene? You would have to bathe in gasoline daily. My advice is to use PPE when handling toxics. Hell, I handle sewage lines. I just pop on those little blue gloves and away we go. It’s treated so it smells worse than it is.

PS- I handled catalyzed hydrazine for years and I’m still kickin. PPE is your friend.
