Strike in the NW?

Never said that but maybe the union was right to write a letter to the USCG.

Two Japanese companies call in scab labor to operate in the USA? They couldn’t get an exemption from the USCG to bring in Japanese towboat operators? They need to talk to some of the foreign operators in the GOM to find out how to remedy that.

Ok that is a good one, a bunch of Japanese are now run around the Columbia river moving barges and docking ship. What are you going to come up with next. Can’t wait to see.

Reckon he was being sarcastic.

Sarcastic or not the crap some people come up with is funny.

Ha yeah, thought you were thinking he believed it actually happened! I had a chuckle myself.

The funny thing about this is the fact that the maritime unions protect the jones act more than any other organization out there or there would be foreign SCABS here. See a lot of union haters that love the jones act here.

The real Scabs in all this are your union bosses, or should I call them Parasites. All they seem to do is feed of of the workers. How many sweet heart contracts do they have compared to standard contracts? Did’nt the jones act come into law around 1910? When did the union movement start? How many aflcio affiliates underbid other aflcio affiliates for a contract? So much for brotherhood. US maritime companies are just as interested as your parasitic organization is in keeping the jones act alive and well. Why? Because the union is a business just like any other. The sooner you quit swallowing their altruistic “we are for the working man” BULLSHIT the better off you will be. Why does Trumpka support immagration reform? It sure as hell ain’t to make your paycheck bigger or job more secure, it is to line their pockets with more union dues and screwing you in the process.I do not love or hate unions. I have been a member in the past, but I see them for what they are, middle men that produce nothing and only leach off of a host. Get your head out of your ass before it is too late.

But that’s exactly what you implied. Don’t hide behind semantics if you insist on continuing your passive aggressive attack on non union mariners.

We get it. You are pro union. Hurrah! When unions make unrealistic work demands you blame people who WANT to work on their own merit for your lack of employment.

The shipyards do far more than any mariner union for Jones Act. Our protection is simply a side effect.

How many sweet heart contracts have you had compared to standard conracts? Your so called fellow unions underbid yours for a contract on a regular basis. Maritime companies fight just as hard to keep the jones act. They recognize the need for it also. You need to get your head out of yor ass.

Looks like Foss is putting ship in and out of Columbia Grain. So much for the brotherhood.

At least one of the boats crewed by the terminals is a chartered foss boat. Not sure if that had anything to do with anything though.

What is a “diss boat” ? Or did you mean piss boat?

I meant Foss! Autocorrect
