Space Shuttle

Before I started my Maritime Career I worked for the Government and was tasked with inspecting the gyro systems on the solid rocket booster for the first shuttle mission. Go Figure, But I have never seen a shuttle launch. Can anybody tell me where the best place to go in my RV to see the last launch.
Happy Fourth to all

To the nearest bar which has giant HD TVs.

After Doug Pine’s reply, I’m hesitant to say anything!

But…

I was in Riviera Beach, FL on a very clear launch day, and was able to see the flame of the rocket when it was launched without any binocs. That has to be 120 miles from the launch.

Not as exciting as seeing it up close, say being a 115 miles closer, but it was something I won’t forget.

I got some great RV park recommendations from the Aviation Forums. I guess those guys have more time and money to go on vacation…lol

I watched the launch from the deck of a tug a few years back just outside of the exclusion zone. I know I could never beat that. So for me it will be on tv this time.

I will work to complete, even better! Because I like it!
