Some Housekeeping Thread Cleanup

I’m going to start closing some of the long on-going generic threads. They are fine for the regulars that participate but for other members that only wish to read/participate in a few specific topics the rule “new topic, new thread” works better.

If a new thread is related to a new topic a link can be added.

EDIT: for example “Ferry News” - The news about AMHS and the like shouldn’t get buried there. If a new topic is worth posting its worth a new thread.

This site is slowly changing form away from a discussion forum.
