We’re a small Icelandic team building a fishing app called GreenFish, and I’d rather get hard feedback now than spend a year building the wrong thing.
Right now it pulls together satellite AIS vessel tracking, sea surface temperature, bottom temperature, currents, and other ocean-data layers on one map, plus catch logging. The idea is to put the stuff you’d otherwise check across five different screens in one place.
If you’d be up for actually trying it, just reply here and I’ll send you an invite link, free, no catch. Either way, I’d rather hear it straight from people who fish than guess from behind a desk.
What I actually want to know:
- Is any of this useful to you, or is it solving a problem you don’t have?
- What do you use on the bridge for this kind of data now, and where does it fall short?
- Bottom temp, currents, SST, which do you actually look at, and which is noise?
- How would you actually use it day to day and does anything feel off, clunky, or just wrong in how it’s laid out?
- What would make you not bother opening another app?
