I was told that your benefits, pension, or something of that nature will transfer from SIU to AMO when you get your license. Anyone have any information on that and i assume thats only if you take SIU’s AB to Mate program?
Your time in the SIU counts towards your “years of service” which is used to calculate the contribution percentage towards your Defined Contribution Plan. This is one of the retirement accounts you get at AMO.
As far as joining, believe all you have to do is apply to the union if you have your license. AMO and SIU are “Brother Unions”, so shouldn’t be a problem making the switch.
