I was doing some research and could not find anything past 2014.
I was wondering how MM&P and AMO shipping has been recently. I was thinking of making a switch to deep sea as I am a fairly recently graduate and have been in the tug industry for the past 2 years. Looking for a change of pace.

A friend of mine works for Crowley on the T-AGS/T-AGOS ships. AMO. He likes it.

They’re hiring.

MMP has been pretty slow, at least for applicants on the east coast. People seem to be having more luck on the west coast since APL moved all operations there and Horizon’s remaining useful ships were picked up by Matson/PASCHA. It also didn’t help that when the Gulf of Mexico was booming people split to work there and were allowed to continue paying dues and keep their senior books until things slowed down again. Many of them returned to the halls and took a lot of the work.

Unless you have good luck or a C-Book or higher, you might be sitting on the beach a bit.
