Return of "THANKS"

A popular feature of our old forum software was simply called “THANKS”. It was a button on each post where you could thank an individual for a really helpful post.

Unfortunately we could not import the hundreds of “THANKS” gained by guys like JDCAVO, Capt. Lee and others but I’m sure they will build up thanks quickly.

Why?

Thanks does three major things:

 1. It gives thanks to people who go out of their way to give quality information and advice.
 2. It prevents the need for writing a new one word post.
 3. It gives incentive for all of us to put thought into our advice.

Periodically gCaptain gives out gifts and awards to the top forum members… post count is a terrible gauge for the QUALITY of comments so this feature will help us determine who the real top members are.

How about a “that post sucked” comment button?

Mike, excuse my Duhness, but how exactly does one do this?

Thanks to you for helping me out.

Look to the right of quick reply…

And I have to be logged in first…Sheesh, even a 2 year old could have figured that one out!
