China’s automobile logistics service provider SAIC Anjing Logistics is setting up three shipping companies to service the fast growing car logistics market.
Founded by Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Motor, Anji Logistics is the largest automobile transportation company in China. In the first quarter of this year, Anji expected to transport 160,000 unit of cars, an increase of 25% year-on-year.
As the end of February, Anji operated a car carrier fleet of 31 vessels, including eleven deployed on rivers, eleven for domestic trading and nine for foreign trading.
The company recently ordered several large-size car carriers which are due for delivery in the coming two to three years.
