What the hell is this. I believe MMP has a defined contribution plan not a defined benefit plan like MEBA.
All I know is MEBA masters can retire with a pension with 40% of their base (high 5 years) after 20 years. And there is ZERO MMP guys retiring like that.
But for the older OSG Masters that are planing on sailing for 5 more years it also makes sense because for a 33k investment from 5 years of working dues etc. you get 21k a YEAR pension for the rest of your life.
