NYC Work Status
Or going in and out of IMTT Bayonne or “A” Hess Bayonne at any stage of the current, usually on the hop of it…I just shake my head.
A good hand fender and a double hull will fix almost any fuck up…LOL.

Never make it up that far anymore, but does Vane still have a whole slip full of barges in Philly right above Packer Ave? It was insane how much stuff used to hang out there.

Yep. But it’s actually just below Packer Avenue at the former ConRail piers 122 & 124. It was murder trying to slide something in there up in the corner with barges on both sides, some 2 abreast. No fun.
Vane emailed me about a month ago asking if I was still interested, seems like they are having a hard time finding help. For the hell of it one day I called Kirby NYC to see how things looked, she wouldnt quote me a day rate, but after a few minutes she was telling me how “wonderful” the west coast operation was and how they needed chiefs/bargeman there. Something smelled fishy.

I wanna talk to someone at Moran, or find out the details of how the contract played out, I hear Peter is looking for engineers and just wondering, I feel a change of scenery coming.
Did you ever talk to anyone at Moran? 11 Z drive boats in the next couple of years. Wondering were they are all going

Lately going to work on a NY tug will get you right down to the GOM. The oil companies can’t keep up moving the shale crude and they have everything they can get their hands on down there.

Oh yeah, who said something about tractor boats? They’re great if you don’t mind losing all your recency and becoming less marketable.
