You now feel threatened because the US POTUS has told Zelensky & the rest of the world we no longer want to be the “police of the world” & it’s piggy bank against Russia? We must have been doing something right before that you & the rest of the world never admitted to for you to now feel scared? You want Ukraine to be in NATO, while I would prefer it to be a prosperous , democratic neutral buffer between us and Russia. It had all the ingredients to become such. I am not sure I would like it to be a chief chihuahua dog among the small group of other chihuahuas due to our mutual historical relations which were rather bad.
And examples of Sweden , Finland, Austria , Switzerland show clearly one can be a rich and prosperous democratic country w/o the need to join NATO.

IMO, in my amateur political science mind, GREAT! Why you might wonder? Biden could never have negotiated a peace for Ukraine/Russia because he painted himself as an ally to Zelensky & foe to Putin. The Russian people would see a set down with Zelensk, Biden, Putin as a 2 against one & any peace or negotiation would be a US/Ukraine victory & Russian defeat. If anyone knows history or current events, they know Russia/Putin would never accept a defeat. The war would go on until Russia went broke, a coup or a faux victory via occupation. That would result in years of more fighting, milions of Ukrainian & Russians deaths & trillions in profits for the Military Industrial Complex that warmongering Americans love so much. With the Americans as a third party, I now believe peace talks can start. Peace is within our grasps. I know the Democrats & anti-Trumpers would prefer 10 million dead & a war-torn wasteland from Kiev to Moscow but I now think Trump, Zelensky & Putin will sign a ceasefire.
One more thing, I won’t see a ceasefire as a defeat of Ukraine no more than any true students of history sees the outcome of the Winter War as a defeat of Finland. Finland lost 11% of their territory but they won. They beat incredible odds & a foe 5x their size with only only 35 tanks & no airplanes. 1 generation later Finland was one of the best countries on the planet & Russia was a shithole like it has always been since the communists took over. Finland played their hand perfectly for the best possible results reality could give them. If Zelensky & Trump does this right, the same can be said about Ukraine in a short amount time. Let there be peace. God bless the peace makers, damn the warmongers & merchants of death to hell. Finally a possible victory for Ukraine.

The lasting peace worked for Finland, it can for Ukraine too if they do it right & govern correctly afterwards.
I don’t know… but the threatened trade war in retaliation for all the fentanyl & illegal immigrants coming over the borders have been on the radar for last 2 years. If Ukraine can do half as good as Finland after the Winter War, it will be a victory for Ukraine. Also, Reuters is reporting Egypt has made a counter, better offer in response to Trumps idiotic idea of rebuilding Gaza. Before Trump said he was going to do it, not a signal county mentioned or thought about rebuilding Gaza. Good on Trump for making a country in the Arab World to come up with a plan?
Basically the article says that the carefully crafted agreement for Crimea showed that Putin can’t be trusted. Therefore any agreement needs to have severe consequences for Putin from allies should Putin break the agreement.
We all know Trump has had it out for Zelensky ever since he wouldn’t manufacture evidence against Biden in 2019 in exchange for weapons resulting in Trump’s 1st impeachment. Would Trump side with Putin to get even with Zelensky? You bet. He’s always been Putin fan anyway.

I just read an interview of J.D Vance & he described the war in Ukraine & the path to peace near perfectly. It seems it’s only the military industrial complex, anti-Trumpers & Democrats who want the murdering, suffering, raping, maiming & destruction of the environment to go on in Ukraine indefinitely. Anybody with a lick of political common sense knows it would take a WW3, trillions of dollars with tens of millions dead to get Zelensky to the gates of Moscow to get Putin to surrender. But the Democrats don’t care, they’d kill every man, woman & child in Europe if they thought it would spite Trump. Here’s parts of Vance’s common sense interview that the warmongers will hate.
