Norwegian fuel supplier refuses U.S. warships over Ukraine

The Russian people or Putin? I don’t see a lot of support from the Russian people for this invasion.

So instead we’ll have Ukraine play that roll. Seems fair.

Why is everything one extreme or the other for you? A ceasefire like the previous 20 or so that Putin has broken? Sounds like that’ll work! /s

Victory is losing sovereign territory! Let’s reward the Russians! I need some land, maybe I’ll come and claim half your property then at the end I’ll end up with about a quarter of it which is good for me

As far as I’m aware nobody, NOBODY in any .gov anywhere seriously thinks that Ukraine will revert to the pre-2014 borders. just proceeding from that assumption, what does victory look like?

… and if people who don’t believe that Russia will cede the seized territory want to continue the war rather than negotiate a cease fire and make peace, why not?

…And hey, speaking of, can anyone here tell me when all these European countries who ‘Stand with Ukraine’ will stop funding the war by buying Russian oil?

Fun fact, accordinf to The EU sent more money to Russia in 2024 than they did to Ukraine.

 Anyhow, enjoy your war, guys.

I challange that assumption. The Russian economy is in shambles, they have lost 800,000 people, they have been hanging on for the last 2 years hoping for a Trump win.

Trump has more power over Russian than he believes he has. A weak Trump is their best hope. But if Trump holds strong - Putin is not in a good positon - And I believe a deal is there where Russia leaves Ukraine - sanctions are lifted, and there is a promise that Ukraine can not be admitted to NATO.

“Truth Optional” is now the go to source for news about official US policy:

From The Economist “US in Brief” today:

The world are watching and wondering where this is going.

Not all US-Ukraine cooperation has stop YET:

How long will this cooperation be allowed to continue?

Russia just met and went above it’s recruitment goal for their military and swelled their ranks by 430k! If their goal was to defeat Ukraine entirely, they would have done so within a week.Continued conflict just gives Putin leverage in pushing NATO back.

which 80 % is to replace combat losses, and had to dramaticly increase sign on bonuses to do so.

Just as likley Russia would have a hard time prosecuting this war for 2 more years as it would be for Ukraine to.

Well in Ukrainian DUMA " …Elenski" has already employed on US nickel of course a gov. clerk who is keeping track and recording ROB of already signed security guarantees/treaties between Banderastan and many other countries . As per my count the number stands at 35 so far .

Can you provide a political analysis from anyone, anywhere, where the conclusion ends with Zelensky rolling into Moscow, Putin hiding in the Kremlin dreading signing his unconditional surrender? It doesn’t exist. Read the history of the Winter War where Finland won by losing 11% of it’s territory or the meat grinder of the trench warfare stalemate of WW1. It’s criminal the Allies chose the path to benefit the military industrial complex 2 years ago opposed to getting an early victory like Finland had. I don’t think the US will ever run out of our fiat currency but gambling that Russia will run out of people to get killed compared to the amount of people Ukraine has to get killed is the most cruel & inhumane stance to take in a war. That kind of reasoning is the reason Americans are hated around the world & why history has impires like ours justly painted as the evil doers. As Vance stated, Ukraine doesn’t have enough lives to throw away & the US/EU don’t have the stomach to pay for it indefinitely as the left wishes. It’s par time to do the humane thing in Ukraine & pursue peace. Shame on you & anyone else who chose the endless meat grinder opposed to peace.

Ukraine’s strategy is that of the Vietnamese against the USA in the 1970s, and the Afghans against the Soviet Union in the 1980s.

Pretty simple.

Kill enough of the enemy for long enough and they will go away.

The Vietnamese paid a horrendous price for it. Because of land mines, Vietnamese are still dying from a war that ended 50 years ago.

But it was their decision to keep fighting, and if you ask them today they would say it was the right decision. We wouldn’t say that. But they would.

Again, I can certainly see a scenario where Russia leaves Ukraine – that does not involve Ukraine matching into Moscow – ( stupid point)

I also think it is up to Ukraine the level of sacrifice they are willing to make for Russia to leave.

This, very current , “all we want is peace” coming from the right, is of course what everyone wants - but if the peace you see is a surrender in the eyes of the Ukrainians who have suffered and died for
3 years. Who are we to say they should accept that.

Our choice is to continue to support Ukraine, as we pledged to do in the Budapest Agreement- and work with them to bring a lasting peace to the area that they believe is just. Or not.

The US military industrial complex has done this dozens of times across the globe for the last century & “revolutionaries” and “freedom” fighters keep falling for it. South Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba etc. We build up a war, the Wall Street & the MIC makes a fortune & we pull out once the excitement wears off & the public catches on to the racket. The left used to be privy to this scam but voluntarily forgot for some reason? At least it’s not Haliburton running the show this time but no surprise Cheney switched parties for the pro-war ticket. As mentioned, in a few years it will be over & many of the warmongers will start doubting their opinons now. In 10-20 years everyone will claim they wanted peace & the war to end after the first few months. Hindsight will be 20/20 again.

Pretty sure Ukraine was attacked

The Winter War did not end with Finnish victory.

Ukraine deserves better than what Finland had to endure during and after the Second World War.
