Northwest Atlantic Bombogenesis Update – Dangerous Storm

The developing low east of Cape Hatteras is forecast to deepen very rapidly with the central pressure expected to drop nearly 50mb during the next 36 hours! This will become a dangerous storm with winds forces 10-12 (50-65 knots) and seas to 40ft.

Major North Atlantic Hurricane Force Storm Update

A Hurricane Force Extra-Tropical Storm Low (953mb) was located near 44N 54W south of Newfoundland this morning with forces 10-12 (50-75kt) winds within 180 nm south and southwest of the center and was moving northeastward at 20kts. Seas to over 40 ft. are forecast with this storm during the next 24 hours. These conditions are affectingeast and west bound shipping to/from ports north of Hatteras and fishing fleets from Georges Bank to the Grand Banks.
