Intense Hurricane-Force Storm over North Atlantic

A rapidly deepening storm over the western North Atlantic, northeast of Newfoundland, will deepen to a 928 mb hurricane-force storm by 1200 UTC 7th off the southeast coast of Greenland with winds up to 90 knots possible between the Greenland coast and the low center.


It’s heading this way. The front is expected tomorrow night but as a force 10 “only”, mainly around Statlandet Peninsula.

06Z/7th: NOAA Surface Analysis verifies 1028 mb forecast. Within 120 nm SW and 180 nm S and SE of the center, winds 65-90 knots with significant wave heights 32-55 feet.
