A significant East Coast Storm event continues to develop along the US East Coast as a deepening low off the North Carolina coast is now causing gale force winds/seas from Hatteras to the Georges Bank and south of New England with storm force winds now developing over the Baltimore Canyon area. The low is forecast to deepen through this evening then slowly weaken during Friday and Saturday. Forecasts suggest winds/seas building to forces 9-11 from 120 to 360 nautical miles north of the center this afternoon and evening then slowly diminishing.
