I’m afraid to look. I think the old one can still be use for a while.

The old form can be used until the end of this year.

I tried to look at it but I keep getting an" error on page " message, this was on the NMC page…Anyone else having trouble viewing it?

Thanks Tim, it’s still showing an error…Must be something on my end…

Here it is. Also see: http://www.uscg.mil/nmc/medical.asp

the new form looks better then the old one; I always felt that was a joke esp seeing the people they determined as “fit for duty”.
I feel bad for all those very talented but very overweight crew who may not make the cut though.

I called the REC in Boston…if you need to get your physical done you CAN use the old guidelines and physical forms. BUT you only have till the end of 2009. Other than that, not too much has changed…the physical part is still the same, the USCG, however, now wants to know about prescribed medications mariners are taking. I hope this is helpful and perhaps eases your mind some.

It’s really not that much different. Just wasting more trees. Page 8 has a list of activities to “perform”, but my doc just laughed at it and said you look good to me. Other than page 8, there is a page that contains explanations of medications being taken. I have none so, pretty easy. I suppose if you have some pending health issues, they may look closer at it.
