MMC Application steps and some other questions

I need answer regarding to Step 5 on the uscg mmc application guidelines Merchant Mariner Credential NMC. Do I need to provide the form CG-719k, I already have my USCG medical certificate.

I’m looking to get my MMC without any endorsement. I was suppose to be on an apprenticeship training at Piney Point, MD through SIU apprenticeship training program but It was postponed till 2026. It has been more than 2 years now since I did all my drug test applications and application payments.

Some question I have in mind is that, will I need to have an updated drug screening again to submit and could the pay.gov receipt from 08/2023 still be valid?

If your medical certificate was issued more than 2 years ago, the STCW portion has expired and you will probably need to renew that with a new physical and 719 form.

Applications for MMCs are valid for a year. You will need to apply and pay new fees.

Drug tests are valid for 6 months , you will need another.
