As with any app, there are security standards in place to protect the data and privacy of each user (Apple and Google do a very thorough review of apps before they even allow the app to even be available to the public for download).

The app itself is designed for mariners to keep track of their licenses and credentials, log and track their seatimes (best to have backup versus what orgs may write up), read latest news and search jobs.

I contacted them, they sent me an application which includes a contract and limited power of attorney agreement.

They charge a placement fee of 14 days pay to be payed within 6 months and is deducted directly from wages.

The POA authorizes them to receive your pay from your employer and deduct their fee before dispersing funds to you.

I can’t image they do much business and I’ve read here it’s possibly illegal.
