Has anyone had issues with Kongsberg VDR going into alarm, stating “Procap failure” or “procap communication”? Procap to my knowledge is the fixed capsule on the deck above the bridge. The batteries were changed a year ago. We cycled power the VDR cabinet and now the alarm is intermittent, and VDR shows “No USB Stick”. The USB stick in the VDR cabinet has not been fiddled with. Any information will be much appreciated. My peer has emailed Kongsberg and I wanted to make an attempt at resolving this via Gcaptain forum before they hear back.
Just as a general thing, might not hurt to remove the USB stick, wipe contacts with damp cloth then dry and replace it.
