Thunder Horse Incident Saturday Morning

Good Morning all!!!
I heard over the weekend that there was a possible fire on Thunder Horse this past Saturday and that alarms were sounded and everyone reported to their life boats. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

If it didn’t make the 6 o’clock news it must not be much to worry about. Those TLP’s and big prodution platforms have hundreds of people on them. They get false alarms all the time, but when the bells go off they all still have to go through the motions, and report to the muster station just like it is an actuall emergency.

We were working under one earlier this year, ( I forget which one) the cook burnt something and set the fire alarm off, I have seen someone accidentily knock a dector off a station, on some systems that sets the general alarm off, some it just give a waring at the master control panel.

Thanks Rob I’ve been out to thunder horse twice in the past 3 months, and we had a false alarm like that the first time I was out there, I assumed that was the case but I live in Kansas and we don’t hear much offshore news up here unless its a catastrophic incident like the DWH in 2010
