GOOD NEWS, TODAY!
Mariner checks in yesterday and gets hired as an AB Unlimited with a great company, this morning.
Interesting fact is that he was taking a class at MPT in Fort Lauderdale and someone suggested he contact me, stay at my B&B and he told him that I would help him along the way. This guy was from the Virgin islands, but he made it happen. He did have RFPNW so the company was impressed.
As always, I will be very happy to assist you throughout this process or just provide nice accommodations for your stay. I ask that you check in on a Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 and I will spend an hour or so with you going over all of the companies, contact personnel, planning routes each day, a few extra tips, and questions you may have about anything else.
Beginning Jan. 2020, I will still offer a discounted rate of $85/night (Sun. through Friday, $425) to mariners looking for work and/or taking classes in the area at Faulk Safety, now called Rely On Nutec in Houma, or the Marine Training Institute (DP Classes) in Gray, LA. .

I have been steering people in Lauderdale here and at MPT towards you for a long time… you were a big help getting my foot in the door down in the bayou, and I am a big believer of what comes around,goes around… chris

Things are looking up, down here! Most all companies are hiring all positions. Make plans to come down if you want to work on an OSV in the Gulf of Mexico.
