Yeah, I think I will probably like them too, but I would get bored after a while. I like going places and doing shit too much to sit in port akansas and escort one or two LNG tankers per week. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring! I take it you have done all the bullshit company training right? I start on tuesday and go all the way through friday.
The tractor tug gigs are really good gigs. There are LNG Terminals they work for. I have heard the ones for Cheniere are really good. They went as far as hooking up cable TV on docks and all that. And the other LNG terminal, they did not want to shell out for additional items for the tugs. That may have changed. T-Roy Cheramie was the guy in charge of the tugs. Really good guy.
The only downfall to the tugs, normally the pay was not as high as the other boats. Hopefully it went up some, but that was the last I heard.
I’m only going there for the towing endorsement. It will make me more versatile and more marketable. Other than that I could care less…
Hey there Capt.Lee So you really like working at ECO I Had thought about it but maybe I was fed full of crap from these guys I ran into awhile back so what can you tell me about working there.
Chouest’s LNG tugs are looking for Captains, Mates, A/B’s and O/S’s to crew the new tugs.
